This lightweight computer combines the rugged Tablet PC with the ease of use of a notebook. When you need maximum mobility in the field simply swivel the screen round and fold it flat over the keyboard for Tablet PC operation. Then when a keyboard is preferred it is easy to revert back to standard notebook form.   The V100 is encased in a durable magnesium alloy housing; this combined with shock mounted components ensures that it will survive drops and shocks as per MilStd 810f. The test procedure includes a 1 meter drop onto concrete plate. In addition the whole unit is sealed against dust and moisture to an IP54 rating. This means being caught in the rain no longer needs to be a concern.   This convenience of operation and high degree of ruggedness does not come at the expense of performance. The high specification Intel Core Duo processor combined with up to 1GB of memory and an 80GB SATA hard disk drive ensures the latest operating systems are available to V100 users.
